Meet Crystal
With over 15 years of experience as a Physician Associate (PA-C) and a national certification by The Institute of Functional Medicine, Crystal is deeply committed to helping patients achieve optimal health. Her passion for medicine began at a young age. As a high school athlete, she was drawn to the sports medicine team, where she worked to rehabilitate injured athletes, sparking her lifelong dedication to healing.
A Passionate Functional Medicine Provider with a Heart for Healing
In 2000, Crystal started her medical career as an ED tech/EMT at Enloe Hospital in Chico, CA. She quickly advanced to become a paramedic and flight paramedic for Enloe’s helicopter program, all while attending Chico State University. With over 5,000 hours as a paramedic, this invaluable experience helped shape her approach to patient care.
Crystal graduated from Stanford University’s Physician Assistant (PA) program in 2010, where she refined her skills and clinical expertise. Inspired by the excitement of surgery, she worked in pediatric cardiovascular surgery for two years, providing vital care to children in need. During this time, Crystal was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and faced personal health challenges, especially around starting a family.
Unsatisfied with the conventional treatments for her diagnosis, Crystal turned to functional medicine. Through diet and lifestyle changes, she found healing—not only managing her PCOS but also overcoming fertility challenges.
Through extensive education and eventually earning her national certification through the Institute of Functional Medicine, Crystal continues to keep up to date on the latest in Functional Medicine.
Today, Crystal is a proud mother of two boys, ages 10 and 12, who keep her and her husband active and engaged in family life. Crystal’s passion for family extends beyond her work. She enjoys hiking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and cheering on her boys at their baseball, football, basketball, and lacrosse games on the weekends.
